After attaining my Bachelor of Arts degree at Reed College, I went to St. John’s College for my Master of Arts degree. I then received my Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School, graduating cum laude, in the top 5% of the class.

As a trial lawyer with more than 25 years of litigation experience, I have tried more than 200 cases, from traffic citations, DUI, and misdemeanors, to major felonies, including capital murder, felony cases, and complex civil claims with trials lasting weeks. I have worked for large, medium, and small firms, as well as government agencies and, have achieved successful outcomes in a wide range of civil and criminal cases, including complex cases referred by other lawyers and cases with mixed civil and criminal issues.

Jason received a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Natural Resources at the University of Vermont, in Burlington, VT and received his Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in 2004.

Areas of Practice and Experience:

Jason handles complex social security cases with the assistance of Stephanie Ned. He has helped hundreds of clients with social security disability issues. Jason is an experienced Social Security disability attorney representative handling all social security appeals including SSI and SSDI cases. He appears regularly in cases being heard throughout Colorado and New Mexico hearing offices. Jason’s goal in representing individuals in the social security process is to give you a voice in the process of obtaining your Social Security benefits.

Jason also has extensive experience in criminal law and spent eight years as a criminal prosecutor. He has a great deal of experience with misdemeanor and felony jury trials ranging from violent crimes to major drug offenses, with a great deal of experience dealing with DUI and domestic violence offenses. Jason has also handled contract negotiations, land use and employment law issues as in-house counsel for government agencies. He appears regularly in Southwest Colorado and Northwest New Mexico State Courts, including Cortez, Durango, Farmington, Aztec and Southern Ute Tribal Court as well as New Mexico and Colorado Social Security Administrative Hearing Offices.
